A few years back, one was spotted. They quickly multiplied. It wasn’t just a fad that lasted for the season. They have gained popularity and are still sold in a variety of locations. Terrible towels are waved in the stadium and at home, when the Pittsburgh Steelers are playing. Fans wave the towels when the black and gold score a touchdown. Some throw their towels when a player fumbles the ball or a referee makes a call against the team. When you watch a Steelers game on tv, keep an eye open. You will see the stands filled with fans waving the gold towels.
